History Tuesday: This weekend my oldest participated in Mutton Bustin' and loved it. Not sure what that is? Read on! Mutton bustin' is a sport where children ride sheep Kids are required to be between 5-7 and less than 55 lbs The sport was introduced in the 1980s by the National Western Stock Show The first event was sponsored by Nancy Cervi, a rodeo queen There are many rodeos and shows that now have mutton bustin' as part of the events Kids rarely get hurt because they are wearing protective vests and helmets My son fully enjoyed himself, and some diluted Allergy Away kept his allergies at bay in the dusty environment!
