On this cold snowy day, we decided to run Immunity and decorate for Easter! The kids love playing with the eggs and baskets! Here's a little Easter basket history: During spring, Ancient farmers brought their baskets of seedlings to temples to be blessed so they'd have a good crop that year The god they prayed to was Eostre (goddess of fertility) and she carried a basket of eggs Christians often deprived themselves of typical food during lent (dairy, meat, eggs). So on Easter Sunday, eggs were put in a basket, resembling a nest, and considered a treat Germanic settlers brought their "Easter Hare" tradition when they came to America. The hare evolved into the Easter Bunny who brings baskets of goodies
