Ready for Seasonal Colds?

Ready for Seasonal Colds?

It's the time of year for coughs and colds again. You know the time...runny nose, stuffy nose, cough, congestion, headache and more. It's miserable. And if you go to the doctor, you'll usually get told that there is nothing they can do. Rest and warm tea is usually the advice you'll pay for from that visit.

What remedies do you use to help kick that cold? Traditional things like Sudafed, Vicks, and Mucinex. But these over the counter drugs are full of all kinds of ingredients our bodies don't respond to well. Man-made ingredients that aren't actually healing our bodies. Typically, these type of medications are simply masking symptoms, not healing. And that masking can sometimes make the cold last even longer. Yikes, right?!

There are natural remedies that can help to heal your body faster. Remedies that will boost your natural immune system and kill germs without masking symptoms. Things like elderberry syrup (see our last blog post), which boosts the immune system and lessens the duration and severity of the cold. And Probiotics, which lessen the impact of those pesky symptoms (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium have been scientifically proven to lessen the duration of respiratory infections). And essential oils, which also boost the immune system, lessen the duration/severity and provide relief from symptoms.

These natural remedies are easy and inexpensive to use. Plus, their use means you won't have to be told "there's nothing we can do". There is something. Lots of somethings. We especially love Cough & Cold when that pesky cold strikes. It provides relief from congestion and runny noses as well as the sore throat that often accompanies that drainage. It has antiseptic, antimicrobial, healing properties and more to help you get back on your feet fast! Reducing the duration of the cold, while providing relief naturally? Yes, please!
