Dry Skin?

Dry Skin?

Does your skin hate the winter? You know...dry cracked skin, skin that's chapped and hurts, itchy skin. Its really no fun. It hurts and in the winter, it seems to never fully heal.

What's your go-to skin nourishment? Is it a cream? Or a lotion? Have you checked the ingredients? Most creams and lotions have some sort of alcohol listed in the top 5 ingredients. Really, if alcohol is listed at all, its defeating the purpose of you using it.

Alcohol is used as a preservative. Lotions are water based. And water based products can mold. But alcohol prevents that, thus its wide usage. But if you're trying to moisturize your skin, you can't do that with alcohol. So you might apply lotion, but its really just drying your skin out more.

So what to do? Find a moisturizer without alcohol. All of our Lotions are completely natural and don't contain any alcohol. They are oil and beeswax based and lock in the moisture for hours. Or if you're needing more intense relief, our Skin Repair is the way to go! Its also oil and beeswax based, but contains healing essential oils as well as arrowroot powder.

Arrowroot powder is the natural go-to for moisture absorption. With dry skin, you are looking for a product that can easily penetrate the tough epidermis layer. Arrowroot is that. It softens the epidermal layer and allows the moisturizing oils to absorb extensively. This is why our Skin Repair is wonderful for eczema, diaper rash, and just plain dry skin.

What's your favorite moisturizer? Have you tried a natural lotion? Or one without alcohol?
