What’s the easiest way to start something new? The old KISS (Keep It Simple Silly) principle! This works great for clean living too!
Our advice is to use up whatever food/cleaner/medicine/body product you have, but when you need more, buy a natural alternative. Yes, this may take a bit of research to decide what the best alternative is for you, but it’s a great, slow process. You will learn a ton along the journey and will deepen your natural living knowledge. This process of switching one product at a time is so much better than throwing everything out, spending a fortune on all new products and then giving up because it’s too much to take on. Baby steps are always more manageable and sustainable.
Here are some suggestions for natural products to take the place of those chemical laden ones:
Trade Windex for a vinegar-based DIY cleaner (and reuse the bottle for a greener approach!)
Trade Tide for a natural Laundry Detergent
Trade typical candles for Beeswax candles
Trade your bar soap for a natural goat's milk soap
Trade your fragranced lotion for a more natural Lotion
Trade your disinfectant (Lysol) for a natural DIY version (like THIS one)
Trade your hand sanitizer for a natural Hand Sanitizer
As you trade out these products, if you don't love the new one you bought, use it up and try another natural version. There are so many premade natural options or you can DIY! And remember to KISS!
What's your favorite trade you've made lately?
